Ultrasonic Flow Measurement
Ultrasonic flow meters utilise two high frequency transducers to bounce signals across a pipe to the other sensor. By measuring the transit time which is proportional to velocity, the flow rate can be calculated automatically based on the known medium properties and pipe dimensions. Most often used on water, ultrasonic flow meters may be suitable for other liquids.
